keep in mind if your car is not lowered it will look like a 4x4 with 18's

Evo 5's are nice, I like just about any 5 spoke wheel for the celica. I suggest getting 17"
wheels ( I think you're good with an offset range of 35-42 on wheels). TRD lowering springs if you are planning to lower your car.

what look funny?? the tire is pretty big. is a 235/40/17 ..
we got my springs on ebay.. i want to say maxspeed is the name of the company.. but they outfit bmws and such with these, and no issues for me. my boyfriend did the springs so. i dont know how much it would cost for a shop to do it.
if you have any interest, let me know! thanks.

any tire with a 50 or smaller rating is low profile.

where did you order them from? how much were they?

i'm just more into a stock look now. bought them from a friend of mine who bought them brand new.
brand new they are like 600 just for the rims. but i have brand new tires on them so i was asking 1k for everything. or 750 with the trade.

First you need to lower your ride. Getting wheels without lowering your car makes your car look like a 4x4. Then measure the heights of your suspensions. If its super lowered you then know what size tires to get with certain size wheels. Getting 18's with fat tires probably wont look as nice but don't get too thin of a tires that it will look weird also. I got 18's on my ride. Tire size is 225/40. That is a perfect size I believe if you get 18's but then again, my ride is really low.

I think people need to ask you some questions. I don't get how people can help without doing that.:shrugs:
First off. What do you want to do with your car? Daily driver, Auto-x, drag-race.
Second off, are you considering performance in your wheel choice? Other words, do you care about light weight wheels that will help balance form and function or do you just want to throw on a nice looking set of wheels and performance be damned?
Third. If you are budget minded you might want to scale back your wheel size to 17s to maximize the different tire options and gain from doing some smart shopping since larger performance tires tend to cost more when it comes time to replace them. 18s are great but in trying to keep the proper tire size there won't be as many tire options that will keep your gearing and speedometer at the proper ratio. Not to mention if you go with a cheaper option, depending on the aspect ratio, you could be putting your wheels at risk of being bent.
Fourth. How much research have you done on your own before you just threw this question into the dark?
