Brand New Radar Detector For Sale! Works Great!

I am selling a brand new Whistler radar detector. It is in perfect condition, and was rarely used. I bought it for $215 after I got my first ticket, but it has mainly sat in my center console since I bought it 2 months ago. I have no need for the unit anymore, especially since I am going off to college very soon and won't need my car where I am going. It is an awesome little detector that includes a compass, 3 different modes for city and highway, and it picks up all police bands. It is loud and will definitely get your attention even over a loud stereo system... This has saved me quite a bit. First person with $125 takes it; I will gladly ship it. and on the high way how efficient is it? do you get caught with it on the highway or at all?

well there are some states that dun allow radar detectors.

Some radar dectors do have a blackout mode that when the cops run their radar scanner (to find them) the detector has an alarm and automatically goes into a special mode that will not let the cops pick it up but becomes less effective scanning for radar. That really doesnt matter though because if you hear that alarm you should just consider a cop in the nearby area =p.

As for efficiency it all depends on how good the radar detector is, how much the cop is a dick, and how early the radar detector will sense it. Usually with the good detectors it will pick up the radar before the cop tags you. If you are unfortunate enough to be tagged out of the blue with no one else around you usually a cop will see that your slowing down and not waste the effort to go after you.

Most cops do not have radar detector detectors. Radar Detectors are only illegal in Washington DC, Virginia and on Military installations. As far as I know, these are the only places that use detector detectors. This detector gives about a 10 second warning on the highway; plenty of time to slow from 120mph to 65mph haha... And I haven't gotten a ticket since I bought it. It's a great investment, considering my first ticket was $285 for 60 in a 55... the trooper was a dick...
