headlight moisture

yea so i took my car in today to get my head lights replaced because of a moisture leak and it took 5 hours. Then the guy tells me that i should feel lucky that hes a nice guy because he replaced the lights for me even though the moisture leak was my fault. He told me that i caused the leak because i didnt install one of the baulbs correctly. even though i just got the leak recently and the bulbs have been installed for over a year. Then i get home and realize the bastards brooke one of my 9005's. The tip of the bulb was missing. what should i do with these bastards? i dont want to install bulbs again and cause another moisture leak, and i dont want them to **** up another set.

He could be right. I dont see how else the seal could get damaged? I would say just get a new bulb

that doesnt matter if you dont seal it right in the first place. then the seal is not closed and anytime when it rains, ur phucked.

I still find it hard to believe that it would have no problems for a year and then come up out of nowhere. In fact, a lot of people have had this problem from what I have heard, and each time the dealer had replaced the headlights without a hassle. It sounds like Diablo has a really picky dealer.

i have never even touched my headlights before and i sometimes get moisture in them.

Agreed, it would seem that Toyota corrected the problem after 00 and into late 01...........................

I had moisture in the headlights without ever opening them...
