Although the drift car you see here looks like a tC, underneath it's anything but... heck, it doesn't even use the tC's floorplan, it's so heavily modified. As previewed last week on video, this latest Scion drifter, prepared by drag racing and drift veteran Stephan Papadakis of Advanced Engine Management (AEM), packs a V8 courtesy of Toyota's NASCAR racing program, pumping 650 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque through a four-speed shifter to the rear wheels.

tanner foust should be the pretty boy he is and stay as the host on that crappy tv show of his.
stephan papadakis is cool though.
tC is a crappy car, but damn they made that into a beast. love how it sounds.

Because the Celica isn't using a RWD chassis, like the tC is (Avensis).

Another reason they use a tc over celica is advertisement for the scion which is still on the market where the celica isn't. Didn't the article say toyota donated the engine or something? Or implied it.

i dont think they can make a tc look good ever. ive seen so many of them, with a lot of work done and they are still ugly imo...i thank god for my car everyday:fawk:
