Here is the deal .. I keep getting told I should concider changing my rims for a diferent look. well I met this dude who wants to trade my 17" rims & tires for his 18" rims. my rims are the gunmetal 17" penta rt with 50% tread & he has some 18" rims painted grey with polish lip with 90% tread. my car has about 2 1/2 inch drop on some tanabe df210 speings with kyb gr2's.
The dude wants to trade to 17" rims cuz he said his 08 civic si sedan wit 2" drop rubs too much on these 18"s ... Please give me feedback to make a good decision.

the ev5's are sick, but i think you need a lower profile tire.

Did you mean, "EVO5"? If so, they are not.

Both rims don't look good.

isn't that civic's bolt pattern like 5x114 or something?

the bigger you go, the more weight you add - the slower you get, the worse your braking is, the lower your MPG.

I think you should just save up for better wheels. Those wheels are coming off a civic and civics typically have offsets in the 40s and up.

They discontinued the EVO5's with the "EV5's"

They look very similar.

hmmmm... duno??? Im meeting with hommie this or next weeken. we will swap one out & make a decision if we want to trade then... I do like my rims & allways thought that evo look is more for vw's & bmr's.

STILL LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK.

I would keep your current wheels and shop for something else. That "mesh" style wheel is just not as nice when it's on a celica.

Keep the rims you got......I remember after I had my set of Enkei EVO 5's (they were still called EVO 5 rims at the time) on for awhile I remember I was at a light and a dude pulled up next to me and asked bout my rims and I told him and he was like 'Man those rims make that car look fvking raw!!'......but yeah stick with 17's........maybe unless you are building a showcar or something that's not gonna get driven a lot......

Fake bolts, probably heavy.... stick to your wheels they look nice with the car and save up that money for a newer - lighter set.

I think I might end up keeping my setup.... Those rims probably look better on vw's and bmw's

don't they have different bolt patterns?

They do but the rims off the civic have both holes. Not sure about the OP rims. The traders rims only look good on euro's for the most part.
