i drove onto a turn too fast this morning and ended up scraping the bottom left side of the bumper. I probably scraped the dip around 25-30 mph and it doesn't look that bad from far away. But when I look at it from 5 feet, you can see little paint chips on the corner of the bottom bumper. I crouched to see how bad the damage was and the bottom front bumper turned white from scraping. Is there away to repair or fix little damages like this one. Should I try to paint over the scratches (they are pretty deep) or is it buff able? Thanks in advance

I would say you try buffing it yourself, and seeing if it helps any. If that doesn't work, you can always go to a body shop and have just the front bumper re-sprayed.

The bottom "lip" on the bumper is a seperate piece. If that`s all that`s damaged, it can be be removed/repaired/ repainted

Ya i scraped the bottom lip of mine while goin on the freeway and running over a sleeping bag. I then figured out that it was the zippers that came up and scratched the thing like crazy. I took it in for an estimate at Skill Craft and it ended up being $250 ( $50 for a new lip, and so much more for labor). I say you just get some touch up paint from a local toyota dealership and make it as good as u can and deal with it until u get a body kit, which i think u should, thats what i am doing :)

the small red dots/line are where the paint is chipped off. Under the bumper has white scratches and such. Is this the lip you are speaking of? Its a small part directly under the grill on the celica. Can only that part be replaced instead of the whole bumper?

I am telling you man. If the scratches are not that deep, I think you could pay a little bit of money (I am thinking $100) and get the bumper alone resprayed. Anyways, I don't think the part you are pointing out can be removed or replaced.

Yes that is a seperate piece.
In fact, the paint is pealing off this same piece on my `02 Celica and it will be removed and repainted in a week under warranty. :)
BTW, the dealer called that piece the "front bumper valance".

anyone hear about and try langka from www.langka.com? I'm not really sure about it yet and I'm planning to get it cause I have a few scratches on my car (spoiler, front bumper valence and rear bumper) and I just want to cover it up for now, since I know I'll end up with a body kit eventually.

I seen a tube of stuff called bumper repair (something like that) it fills in scratches and small holes in rubber bumpers and it's sandable at a auto parts store on the sealant isle. I will find out the name of it tonight. and if you cant find it. I would be willing to ship you a tube of it.

go get a paint place to match ur paint and put it in a spray can, then mask off the area around it, and spray the scrapes. Buff it out, should look fine. or just buy some touch up paint from the dealer
