my battery finally crapped out on me so it's time for a new one. Are there any good name brand batteries out there? if so, what size should i get? any info would be appreciated.

Most batteries that are sold at autoparts stores are made by the same manufacturer..the only difference is the label on it. I usually just get a battery with the best warranty....right now I have a DynaCell 6 year non-prorate battery. If the thing goes bad in less than 6 years, I'll get a new one free. Most places will sell a battery with 2 years free replacement and another 4 years pro-rate.

Either way, the thing is gonna die in a few years, so don't go for an optima, etc. etc. unless you're powering a lot of electrical equipment or have a lot of money to burn. The size of our batteries is 35.

It terms of brands, if you're not running any aftermarket electrical equipment, it doesn't matter much. Just head to autozone and get a duralast or something.

35 usually equals 35 lbs for the battery. However this isn't always the case, it's just the class of battery.

Honestly, any battery that is 12V will work, but a good one will have a high output voltage. When selecting a battery, choose the lightest battery possible, focusing on the maximum amount of output voltage, for the duration that is required through your usage.

Your an idiot.
The size is referring to the dimensions not the weight.
God idiots.

In your terms the D34/78 is what? 34 pounds or 78 pounds? Which one is it? Its simply referring to size of the battery not weight.
