We somehow need to submit these photos so that there's no user associated with them so that it's not a "popularity contest" on the photos. We should have a final submission date (which I saw), then open up a poll for a week or so so that we can get votes on the photos without an associated username.

I see what you mean about being a popularity contest but I really cant do anything about that.

i was just actually thinking about something like this. there is something like this going on with another forum of mine. i'll go home tonight and check up on the rules and post it up here. it'll probably get pretty interesting. i know it works really well on there.

these were basically the rules. you have to have one person in charge of doing all this so it stays organized. they did it weekly btw.

-ONLY ONE IMAGE PER PERSON! if you send more than 1 i will throw out all of your images for the week.
-single image must be taken within the time frame (SUNDAY 12:00am or whenever I post the topic through Saturday 10pm)
-EXIF data must be intact so we can see when the image was created.
-single image must be resized so that the longest side does not exceed 800pixels.
-if you know how to add your name in the copyright field of the EXIF that may help us if we need to ID you.
-all images must be in JPG format
-you should PM the image to myself and either hotlink it or attach it
-you should name the image your newcelica screen name_topic (FOR EXAMPLE if I was shooting for a topic named Myspace I my image would be named SlimThug_Myspace.jpg)
-minor processing is allowed (levels, color correction, sharpening) however myself and maybe a few others will view the images and if we think its a bit over the edge, we will let you know. no adding things, or unnec cloning out, etc. this is a photo contest not a digital art contest. make the image in the camera not in photoshop.

that's pretty much it. kinda simple. just choose a pretty broad topic but at the same time something specific.

Lets try to do these rules for the next challenge / competition
