Regardless of the way they look; the upgrade of tire width from 185 to 205 on my Corolla CE has had amazing results. The stability at high-speeds and cornering ability has improved significantly. The car feels so much better than it did before; reminds me a bit of the way my Celica felt and handled. I am betting it will be more dramatic with a 2" drop. :wiggle:
The scary part is I oversized the tire from 50 series (which the Celica uses) to 55 and actually improved the accuracy of the speedometer. Actual speed at 100KM on the odometer is normally about 96KM/HR on the GPS ... now I am at about 101KM/HR.
So anyway .. the 16" Mercedes black powdercoated Celica GTS Rims I got off Ebay wrapped with 205/55/16 Falken FK452 (http://www.falkentire.com/Tires/FK-452-3) Ultra High Performance summer tires:
