after about a week of owning the celica, i installed a eclipse deck. blew the radio fuse because i didn't disconnect anything. changed it, deck played fine but my gauges don't like up at night. the needles do, but not the gauges. sold that deck to my buddy with a camry, so we used same wiring harness. his gauge lights stopped working. he needed new fuel lines so when his car was getting fixed, they fixed his gauges. they said it was just a fuse. i've had 3 or 4 head units since then and my gauges still do not work. it hasn't really bothered me till now. i've checked the fuse box on the passenger foot area and the fuse box under the hook and all fuses are fine. anyone know what could cause this?
here's my gauges at day.

and here's them at night.

hahaha that is the same crap that got installed in my car by the previous owner. I ripped it out and order a LEDmod gauge. My problem is that when i ripped the old one out the guy cut the wire to my standard gauge. Now mine wont turn off =p
GL though.

yea that looks like an overlay... find where it is hooked up too, and it also could be the inverter.

i'm having the same problem with my guages. The needles light up but not the background. however, sometimes the background randomly comes on at night. It bothers me to know that they can look great and they just dont work. Usually they only stay on for a short amount of time. Anyone have any ideas what can be going on?

The only fuse that would stop that stuff from lighting up is the TAIL fuse or the brown multi-fuse (says 7.5 on the top, passenger kick panel, top of the fuse block)
Pull both those multi fuses, they are actually 4 mini bus fuses attached together. One of them will probably be blown. There is a spare one of these multi fuses under your hood at the front of the large fuse box.
The only other thing I could think of is that you never finished installing the indiglo gauges, and by that I mean you didn't tap into the parking light circuit. I have never seen the Eurolite ones in person, but if they are like the AC Autotechnic ones then it requires an extra power source to light the face up. The needles are all controlled on a separate circuit and that's why those still work for you.
*edit: check the TAIL fuse first. It's a 10A from the factory. I blew the 10A twice and only had light from the needles to use. I replaced the 10A with a 15A and never saw the problem again. Later I removed the indiglo gauges for some of Dooly's custom ones. *

all three fuses are good. the tail and the 2 7.5 multifuses. i'm ****ing confused. i hope this thing isn't wired up wrong. it was in when i got the car and i don't remember if they ever lite up because i put in the radio about a week after i got it.
There should be a control panel/inverter for it somewhere.

I have the same problem with my AC AUTOTECHNIC. I have had it installed for a year with no problem but when I got my tech installed the viper 5900 that's when it started fvkin up. Like BLUCELICA said sometimes it works at night but it only did mine for a week. My tech said that it might be the inverter so I got in touch with the AUTECHNIC guys and they actually change the inverter for free NICE PEOPLE. Installed it, freakin worked for 1 day and 1 night and then it just stopped working again. Now I got another one from AUTOTECHNIC but paid 20 bucks which is not bad. Does anyone here know the cause of the problem. I know for sure it's not the fuse and also I tap wire the inverter to the tail fuse so I don't think that it takes to much power.. Need help asap. Thanks
