TRD Kazuma lol

Well it's the second time I've been pulled over for this amazing rare setup.

I wouldn't change it one bit. Story for those who care:

It was about 1:50 when my radar started going crazy. I was stopped at a light and saw a state trooper at the light across from me. I told the passenger, "I bet you he will pull me over." So I turn and kept it under 3K rpm. Yes the lights lit up and I was overcome with joy and excitment.

Typical officer : "Do you know why I pulled you over?".
Me: "no sir."
Officer: "your car is too loud."
Me: "Really?"

After this he asked me for my license, of course I didn't have it on me :gap:
There also was a second officer that was on the passenger side of my car, he was very odd. Must have been a fun training experience. How to write a college kid a ticket.

Officer: "have you been pulled over for this before?"
Me: "Yes no tickets were issued."
Officer: "ok, who pulled you over?"
Me: "city cop, he was a cool guy, knew I wouldn't take it off so..."

He then called up the officer that gave me a warning and talked to him for about five minutes.

The whole process took about 30 minutes. Of course they have the spotlights in your mirrors.

I'll gladly pay the fine plead not guilty and keep it on my car.

What pisses me off is, the officer was going to go straight then saw my car and turned after I did.

So you get the officer on the stand and ask him questions like this...

Officer, you testified (or issued me a summons alleging) that I violated section 375.31 of the VTL. Can you please tell the court what NY State Vehicle & Traffic Law section 375.31 states?

Officer, if you do not know what NYS VTL 375.31 states then how do you know I violated it?

Officer, what was the decibel level of my vehicle's muffler on the morning of August 27th, 2005?

Did you measure it with a sound level meter?

Why not?

Are you a trained expert in estimating the decibel level of a vehicle's exhaust system?

How can you quantify that judgement?

What's acceptably loud, what's too loud, where's the line drawn between the two?

Where's the borderline between adequate and inadequate?

How do you know I modified the exhaust system?

(Be ready for a response like: "I know a loud car when I hear it....ask him how he can quantify that judgement....what's acceptibley loud, what's too loud, remind him that the first thing a Harley driver does is install straight pipes, no mufflers whatsoever, why don't you bust them...?)

So if you didn't measure the decibel level of my vehicle's muffler and you're not a trained expert in estimating the decibel level of a muffler, how do you know it wasn't adequate as per

I figure I mind as well try. Either I pay now or fight and maybe pay later. But this trooper seemed like a dick. I was going the speed limit and he lit me up after he followed me for about 5 seconds, it was under 3K. I should've taken it into lift hah.

yea like i was saying before...we're college kids in RED SPORTS cars in NY.....no matter what, police are gonna find an excuse to pull u over....im running on stock exhaust, no tints, no HIDS, not even lowered......they STILL pull me over and try to give me a bull**** ticket like tailgating, unsafe lane change, not stopping at stop sign (when i CLEARLY did)......so whatever...thats definietely not stopping me from getting my kazuma and other mods when i get the chance.

Tuesday - Judge Michael B. Powers.........5:00 pm (new hours)
Thursday - Judge Robert Sillars...................7:00 pm

and i'll be in summer classes during this time. So I guess i really have to plead guilty and just pay. **** the system.

with all do respect, from i've been told, the kazuma is illegal, Full stop. Why? i don't know :D

the question is, how did he know it was illegal, then i would refer to the questions you are planning on asking him.

so technically the TRD exhaust is also illegal according to that statement. b/c it isnt the exhaust system and/or muffler that originally comes with the car and i t (albeit slightly) raises the noise level of the car.........wow this is all bs....you're gonna get pulled over anyway for driving a sports car so i'd rather pay an illegal exhaust ticket than a tailgating ticket or some other b.s. like that

i got busted for my exhaust about 5 times the first 2-3 where no biggie ill switch back to my stock,pay the fine go to the referee station and get it cleared, and put it back on... the last ticket i got was like $250 due to the referee station be closed during the budget cuts... and that one hurt.. so i took it off hasnt been on since, but i think ima put it back on for the summer!! lolz

Apologize for probably posting in the wrong section, but im looking for twom items to complete my trd collection. 1) is the kazuma exhaust. Anyone know of any jus lying around, for sale/trade? Im a shop with lots of parts and such. our car is an APR Widebody, GTS Swap. and 2) a gold TRD oil cap. any help would be appreciated.
