What a weekend! man...Im not sure where to start...everything was great...the people, the cars, the girls, the parties, getting lost on the way to HIN, the HOTT Toyo Tires chic who signed my poster....
I want to thank Jesse for all the help with directions and stuff. Everyone was cool and I hope we can plan another meet soon. Just to let you guys know, my shifter held until i got it home, took out the spacers and put the stock bolts back in, everything seems to running smoothly again.
Many thanks to 2001RedCelica for helping me fix my shifter in the ghetto...I still prefer watching COPS on TV rather than seeing it in real life, however. Hope Everyone made it home safely.

Hey Josh.. Glad you made it home safe with the rigged shifter.
Next time, use 6th gear when on the highway traveling with the other celica's, that's why you got it. ;)

LOL, glad to hear that my motto and methodology came through in the end "If you can't duck, F**k it!" The duck tape held on the whole way back? How did you get the rest of the bolts off?

used a 13mm socket, and then a 12mm to reinstall the stock bolts... *shrug*

that must have taken alot of time, I think that you should still use the spacers but just buy longer bolts and make sure that they are exctly the same tread patter.
