hey u guys whats up!!! im now a fellow celica owner!! my parents decided to get me my celica today at Kearney Mesa Toyota!! selection was very limited only 3 celicas to choose from, a white gt 5sp manual. auto gt carbon blue celi, and a silver action package sportshift auto..i test drove the 5 sp gt and absolutley loved it!! my parents had enough cash for a GTS but they were afraid i would do something stupid with it since im being 17....so there goes the GTS :(, so im fine and decided ill wait for a carbon blue 5 sp gt to come in, no luck my parents said they wanted an auto so that they could drive it. Ahhh so much for having a celica..so they decided that they would get me the carbon blue celica gt auto, it looks beautiful! its fully loaded and i just took pics today of it. it has the moon roof, 15inch rims, power locks etc. it drives great and i love the handling (im coming from an explorer and 88 celica st) i love my parents to death for buying me it , its just i wish i could of gotten the 5sp instead :(...hey

bro the 5 spd OWNS the sportshift GTS so your better off anyway.. white is a nice color.. CONGRATS.. be careful and take it easy for at least a grand.. good luck

That's kool, my parents did the same thing for me but my dad said let's go look at the new Celica since I was telling him that I wanted one real bad. Then he test drove the GT-S 6 Spd and said he would get me the car. I wasn't expecting that so I am really great full for what they did. I had to learn how to drive a manual but it was worth it compared to the automatic civic I had. Have fun with your Celica and good luck.

i will!! i take it to about 3.5k for daily driving the furthest i ever took her was 5k, mind you shes an auto gt...any things i should take into consideration for breaking her in correctly? thanks!!! OH YEA THE GTS AT KEARNEY MESA TOYOTA WAS SELLING FOR $26K PLUS!!!! are they freakin crazy!?>

WTF VROOM!. u test drove the 5 spd and bought the AUTO?? cmon dood.. oh well its still nice, 26k for an action packgd auto gts isnt too far off.. non action packg 6 spds start at like 21k and if theyr litmited amounts at your dealer then expect the dealer to mark up those prices so.. yeh, would i pay 26k? hell nah, i payed 17,600 plus tax and tag for mine.. im still payin for this bich.. i hate guddamn car payments

his parents wants to drive it to...thats why he got the auto. nevertheless...hes greatfull for what he got.

Vroom_vroom and Midnight, you guys have awesome parents! I mean my folks would never do something like that for me. I hope that you thank them every day for making your celica dreams come true. They did an amazing thing for you and they deserve a lot of respect and to know that you are going to drive safely (most of the time!).

i love this car to death!!! altezzas will never touch this car neither will any of those aluminum wings!! mabey a nice simple molly designs kit and rims and a system at the most..adding an exhaust to an auto sounds kinda funny so mabey a nice K&N drop in right!? thanks for the compliments~! oh yea

REDCELLYINFL- my parents thought the gts was too man of a car for me hahaa, i let a rip in the 5sp gt and they thought it was more than enough! either way i love it!!

i wanted a manual too, but for the same reasons (parents) i got the auto, do i regret it? not for a minute (well maybe 30 seconds).
K&N i think should have hp gains, but go for an Injen CAI instead.
