yeah this is a long un and i appologize if its not the most exciting ever, but had to vent this out cause i was pissed as hell
alright so.. before this night i've had 1 speeding ticket which happened when:
i had just had a clutch replaced and some other problems fixed,
i get off the highway which was a 55 zone and get to a 30zone, and am just coasting down
when i see this cop on a side street. i look down and am only doing 45-48 so i figure eh i'll brake and he'll be cool. well he was a dick.
here was my dumb move, this guy was standing outside his car (which is shut off), half in the street i'm on and points at me... and my dumb self stops
hindsight i should have downshifted to 2nd and dipped cause i live like half a mile away and know the area like he never will, 2 turns and i would have been on a different road halfway to a different town (thats how close to the edge of town we were) b*tch wrote me a 51 in a 30 ticket
but back to the real story,
me and some friends had been swimming and i had to take one guy home and we were already late i had 10 minutes to make it across town (takes 10-15) then drop my friend off and take the 10 minute trip back to my house so i was rushing, i'm going +15 over the whole way home, and i'm making as many right turns at red lights, and cutting parking lots where i can just cause my parents have gotten really pissed lately as i've missed tons of curfews. so i get to this red light and am like dude.. i think i should run it and he just is like dude.. turn right and we'll be good so i turn right and hit another red... he's like..."ok dude this one you have to run" so i sit there and think and its not changing (its one of those on the weight triggers but it isn't changing and it normally does really quick) so i go through cause its super late and no one is around, the closest car is like a 1/4 mile down the street and bam.. its a cop of course
he pulls me over, asks for papers and license which i so gladly give him but i'm so pissed that i dropped the insurance card and he's like sir... have you been drinking tonight ( i half wanted to be like yeah man all night but i refrained) ... he comes back and tells em insurance is old (which with my license he can look up if i have insurance or not), which i had the right card just was so pissed that i didn't give it to him so he has a ticket for the red light, and for old insurance and as i'm signing then the ******* was like.. and i could give you one for obstructed license plate but i feel like being nice i about jabbed his eyes out with that damn pen...
the kicker(s):
1) the light i ran was taken out the next day so i could have argued that the light was bad or trigger was disconnected
2) there is a gas station that i could (and should) have said i had left from instead
3)after i got the insurance one waved by showing my good card at the court house, i got this warning to send in my insurance info or they would suspend my insurance or some bs
4) the guy i was taking home had a cast on his ankle ( he hadn't been swimming with us which i why he wanted to leave) and when i told the cop i needed to get him home to his pain meds which was why i was rushing he was like eh.. he'll live.
oh and the dude had 2 other cops come back him up, so its me (this teen driver who was trying to get his friend and self home on time) with 3 cop cars lined up behind me each with their lights on.. yeah they have nothing better to do around here then be bitchy towards anyone younger then them with a nice looking car..
