Good point. Otherwise it could be a shocking experience. I mean, I'm not ready for anything that terminal. I would much rather live to die of voldt age. BTW I appologize if I have exceeded anyone's capacitance for bad electrical puns, but this whole concept has me kinda wired....

That's horrible, please stop. As far as 700 ft-lbs of torque, I wonder how that compares to the linear induction driven rides popping up at amusement parks these days. (Like the Disneyland/world Aerosmith ride that takes you from like 0-60 in a couple of seconds)

Rofl - that was kind of an arbitrary number I pulled outta my butt, but the acceleration potential is HUGE. Instant torque, to all 4 wheels if you want it... thats HUGE traction and launch. And Given that you only need enough juice to go 1/4 mile between recharge.... <Grins>

what about the hydrogen rotary mazda is supposed to be making? Its supposed to make ALMOST the same power as a gas engine, with no emissions.

Bah emmissions smishions - I like electric cause of the brute torque / powah :) - Besides Mazdas been jerking everyone around about a hydrogen powered rotary for many years now - I first heard about it back in 92/93. At this point I'm in "I'll believe it when I see it" mode on that score. Of course I can see why they wouldn't bother - theres no infrastructure to support it. Once we have a hygrogen pump at our local fueling stations I think maybe they'll put their money where their mouth is :) Your right tho - it would be cool if they did it.

Yup - comes stock with an LCD that displays audio, climate, hybrid mode, fuel consumption, energy regeneration, and trip data. If you buy the NAV option it also handles that as well.
