How do you install hood pins

Well I got a CF hood and it's been sitting there for about a week now. What I want to know is, how do I do the hoodpins? I knew I had to have hood pins when I got it but now I'm not sure how to get them in/on. Can someone enlighten me?

Just guess two spots that look equidistant and drill.

...and most importantly, the nails. Be sure to get galvanised roofing nails when hammering the pins down to your hood. This will reduce chaffing.
