visualy i scrapped the hell outta the rim, causing the tire to come off. chipped of the side wall. fluid was leaking from the side, assuming its pinching the brake line? was able to drive it a spot to park it till ican get it towed? if i could drive it fine, just felt a little shuddery and sounded like dookie? no axels should be broken?

i wouldn't drive it after what you explained :O it might make things worse.

post up pictures, it should help.

It's gonna be worse than you think. If the hit was hard enough to take the tire seal off the wheel bed and if you have fluid leaks it's not gonna be anything good. Not for the axles, suspension components nor brakes.

i was able to take a look at early gsborek. i had bent my swaybar endlink into pretty much a S. lol. it had pinched the brake line. when i had come back to the car early nothing else had leaked. no control arms were broken no axel. cv looked fine also. the only concern was when the tire was all the way on the ground. it slighty touched the edge of the rear fender. (if you can visualize this). im assuming they just need to take the tire/rim off and realin it. and im also thinking that the way the swaybar link is, is causing it to stay conformed that way being attached to my stiff ass sway bar. am i right by any of this or blowing it outta my ass ;P

Did this happen to the front suspension? I would NOT drive it...

It will need suspension work, post up pics soon..

The thing with the suspsension is it's very fragile. Meaning it can look okay but there could be some major damage.

count yourself lucky that the transmission wasnt damaged, though only time will tell there.

my shopping list would be...
lower control arm
ball joint
inner tierod
outer tierod
axle assembly
transmission axle seal
transmission fluid
brake line
brake fluid
sway bar link
wheel
tire

possibly a new strut if that was bent

and YOU WILL need to get it onto an aligner to check for any frame damage. its not impossible that you've tweaked the front frame on that side.

How fast did you hit it exactly?

I just did autocross and I guess my car couldnt take it, I need a new lower control arm.

about 10 to 15? last time i hit the exact some thing but it was at 40-50mph and i hit it more of on the front. pushing everything back, and caused, 4g worth of damage, and when i went to put it into drive, it wouldnt even move, the tire wouldnt even rotate. ill keep yall posted

Yea man, I'd go to a shop to ensure there is no extensive damage.

wtf, hitting it once wasnt bad enough? im not sure if the front has the same pieces as the back, but you could be looking at a tweaked knuckle as well. that ONE piece threw off the entire alignment on the rear end of my car from what i can only imagine was a serious curb check or impact from the previous owner. quit hittin ****, much less the same ****, that might help too lol

You have quite a few bent components on the front. Notice how the axle contacted the swaybar and the top bolt of the subframe and broke off the clamps of the balance. It looks like you have a bent control arm, notice how the rear control arm bushing is twisted up and sideways. This is gonna run at least the same amount as last time.

Ouch :O! i remember something very similar, or should i say MUCH WORSE happen to me and my driver back home, we were going to pickup family in a Chevy Venture ( minivan ) and as he was entering the highway, he wasn't paying attention and hit the section where it separates the highway road from the local road, he was just starting to gain some speed and hit it at 80 Kmph \ 50 mph, the van felt like it flew and luckly it didn't flip, i went outside after it stopped, it hit on the front and rear passenger side, both wheels were bent like a mofo, took it later to the dealer and they charged as around 4k to fix it, there was so much **** they changed i can't even remember, and it was still messed up.

my advise is take it to Toyota or a very good mechanic, get the list of all the parts you need changed, and if you have full insurance you shouldn't have a problem getting insurance to cover you, i'm not sure how it works here, but back home you would need a police report at the time of the " incident "

lambo, you said you need a lower control arm, how do you know? my question is how can you tell if it's going out or not?

damn thats harsh lol anyways i hit the curb with the front right tire once going 30 and just ended up climbing over it but my alignment went off after that and i didnt plan on fixing it until i started to do some serious work on my car which is now the case so when i get around to taking the front bearings out i'll probably get a new sway bar and tie rods.

also i've hit the rear tire when turning right several times and nothing ever happened but then again i was going really slow and usually just got pushed away from the curb by the inertia but i do have scrapes on my rims from my encounters, man yeah i feel your pain tho bro lol
