Indiglo Catastrophe

I had had my indiglo guages connected to my tail light fuse..... after about 6 months of use... the tails started to short the fuse everytime a new one was put in.... i disconnected the indiglos and the problem did not resolve... so i took my car into the shop....

the shop tech swears that the invertor on the indiglos is causing the short... he offered me $150 to rewire them in with the tail lights... naturally i told him to go F*** himself...

I was wondering if anyone else had a similiar problem...

and also what you you wired them into... the headlights?

er.... rewire them in with the headlights... not the tails...

i wired my indiglo's to the cig lighter, (before the clip), never any probs with it.

try to wire it to the parking lights in the front!

I have mines wires to the tail light and no problems yet. What indiglo do you have? The full indiglo or the reverses. I use to have the full one for half a year and there was no problem to that. Now I hvae the reverse one, less light to my eyes. .

why would you run wires out through the firewall, when you can just so easily tap into the dash lights? the dash lights get power the same time as the exterior lights.
