squeaky shifting... ???

Hey Everyone,
This is my first post here on nc.org! Whoo hoo! Anyway, I have a 2000 GT 5 speed and everytime I shift from 1st to 2nd, or from 3rd to 2nd it squeaks. Just very slightly, sometimes not at all. But I have been noticing it a lot more recently. My car is all stock, only had it for a month now. It has 25000 miles on it. Any ideas on what this could be and how to fix it? Thanks!

i had the same problem...the first time i took it to toyota they said it was nothing, and they charged me $100 for check up? wtf...anyway i took it back again and they fixed it, no charge...they just lubricated it or something.

It worked! It took like 30 seconds to do and the noise was gone. You guys rock!

i had the problem but it became worse...it started doing that and after a while, it starting grinding..go to the dealership if you are still under warranty. it might be just the linkage...
