Check engine light comes on then goes off after a few hundred miles

hi like the title says i drive a 2000 celica gt and while the ligt was on i got i tested and it was the first o2 sensor before the cat so i go buy a new one on my way home the light goes off now i havent seen the light for a few hundred miles now what should i do save the money for teh o2 or is there a leak some where and where should i check ,, is it a carb problem in the throttle body if so how shoul di clean it spray???? plz help me thanks in advanced :wiggle:

What was the actual CEL code?

If you've got over 60K on the car, I'd just replace the O2 sensor and be done with it. It's probably not working all that well.

well when i was all stock my problem was the oxygen sensors. i think somebody is selling one in the for sale section for $70


fyi i paid 700+ to get both of mine replaced

mine does that, i took of my cat off but did a lil defouler trick .................... anyways umm, like jlitman said, what the code its spitting out?

if went off i wouldnt wry about it till it stayed on could of just thought was messed up then figured out it wasnt and turned the light off it was bad the light would stay on yes sometimes electronics mess up too lol :)
