Ok, well i want to make the car as lite as possible. I want to make the whole dash kit CF. Does anyone know how to or will make me one, or know of any companys that will do it for cheap?

that's won't shave more than 5 lbs... unless you're talkin bout the ENTIRE dash board... but that'll be mucho $$$

make your car light...

-gut the trunk/seats/plastics
-no AC
-no Cruise Control
-forged 13" drag wheels

that'll make a bigger different than a CF dash kit

MuleDoe, CF is an amaizing material that offers great strength while still remaing increadably light, however, you will usaully only get a weight savings when replacing a metal peice, not a plastic peice. Plastic should weigh less than the a couple of layers of carbon fiber that has been epoxied together. If you replace your entire dash with a CF one, it will make your car heavier. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be cool, because it definately would be, but if you are mainly concerned with making your car lighter as you stated, this is definately not the mod for you.

dang, people have been telling me that CF is light weight and all that. How much weight would it be if i replaced the whole dash with CF and how much is the whole dash weight on a stock GTS ?? anyone?
So looking for how much a dash kit entire CF would weight
and how much a stock dash kit weights.

MuleDoe, CF is really light, so what people have been telling you is completely true. But CF has its limitations, it's not the lightest thing on the planet or something, plastic weighs less than CF. That's what I meant when I said that you would typically get weight savings only from replacing metal parts on your car, CF is heavier than plastic, but lighter than metal. So if you bought a CF hood, you would save weight because the CF hood would weight less than the metal one you replaced. The thing about CF is that it is extremely durable, so you can replace metal things with it because it is rigid and strong enough to preform the same function that the metal does, yet the CF weights less than the metal.

I have the dash pulled out of my car right now. I will try to get a weight from it for you...
