Hey, my car is down, this is the second small problem I've had with the kit. Had it installed in 2006, so it's been running perfect with no issues for over 2 years, and 40,000km.

I'm having a problem with the oil return fitting, where it is attached to the block. The threading on the fitting is wrong, and didn't really fit. The problem is, the threading is different on the fitting, than on the block.

Does anyone know the specific threading on this part???

Is it metric tapered? I'm not a mechanic or a machinist. All I know is the fitting doesn't have the proper threading, and doesn't go in very deep. I tried a piece with a 1/8 pipe thread (I think) and same thing, it just doesn't thread in.

Here is the sensor compared with the end that went into the block. TERRIBLE pic, iPhone, and my digital cam is fcuked so this is all you get. But you can see the threads aren't the same.

Here is the fitting with that sensor installed, it goes between the sensor and the block, again for the oil return...The sensor fit into the aluminum block, since aluminum is softer, it basically forced its way into the other end.

So again, the question is, does anyone know the thread description on the sensor, so I can get a new one properly made??? I work in an industrial setting, so the thread description on a car part escapes me.

Thanks guys.

the thread on the block is BSP 1/8 not NPT thats the problem. you need a special part that has BSP and NPT for the feed line

i used a piece of a lamp top from home depot. The part where the shade screw in... its hollow, thats how i connect mine to the block haha

Perfect! That's the info I need. The machinist at work should be able to make a new fitting with that thread, and then everything should be fine!

Thanks so much for your help Smaay!!!
