I just ordered some H&R springs from Tire Rack, and I can't wait to install them. I was wondering, though... is it hard to install them? I had a 99 Si before my GTS, and I installed coilovers without too much of a problem... Does anybody know if the installation on a celica is easier on a civic or vice versa??? Please Help. I want to install them myself (shops charge 200 in MI), but am a bit intimidated.

I found the Celica to be just as easy as a Civic. That's just me though. I have done quite a few installs though. Where you located??

thanks for the reply. I'm located in royal oak, Michigan... about 20 minutes north of detroit. How long did it take you to change the springs in your celica?

shouldnt have a problem with the fronts, but i think you'll have a hard time with the rear. just take you time.

I can do an install by myself in like 2 hours. Then again, I have done like 4 or 5 Celica installs in the last 18 months. If you lived in Oregon, I would help you out with the install.

its pretty simple once you get used to it......i had some problems with the front end link only but then again that was because the bolt was rusted.....put some wd-40 on it and it came off easy....if you are jus doing springs it should be easy....its pretty straight forward.....theres no trick to it as far as im concerned...

yota_racer: You're in South Oregon? So close to Cali? How far away from the Bay area?

Of course you all know you really need to change the struts/shock too.
In a month or two it's bouncy bouncy time

6 hours away. If I was to drive to the Bay Area, I would just ask that you pay $50 toward gas and stuff. Your call man. I won't be able to go down for at least 2.5 more weeks though. Or you can drive up here for a weekend. That way you can check out my car too. It's almost done. Just ran into a small problem and need to order a part.
