Transmission Swap

Hey i was wondering if anyone here tried to swap their auto for a manual transmission.. I'm playing with the idea of getting the stick .. i have the GT-S .. I like the triptronic but sometimes I miss having a clutch .. anyone every done this .. was thinking of getting a good 5speed for it. Any thoughts would be appreciated and any ideas of cost ??

Do a search. I know one person was doing it and they are probably done by now. Its expensive though.

Cost will be considerable - the best case scenario is buying a wrecked celica with functional tranny from a junkyard or auction for a couple grand and stripping it down. If you use new parts exclusively it would probably cost well in excess of 6K after labor.
