filling the coolant

I just installed a new engine and it runs great but when I fill the coolant bottle it dose not seek to go into the radiator. The temperature goes up about 3/4 and the fan stay on. Am I messing up somewhere? :confused:

Yes, do a quick search on bleeding the coolant and you will get several hits. There is a specific method that works best when it comes to getting the air bubble out of the system.
