I think I might have an idea...I know it sounds like a bad idea, but to clueless cops it could work. I plan on getting a Kazuma exhaust, which obviously is not legal. The TRD exhaust however is legal. I am quite sure that (and correct me if im wrong) TRD is engraved somewhere, if not several places on the Kazuma exhaust. Couldn't I call TRD and ask for the TRD Carb certification numbers that say the TRD exhaust is legal, and show that to a cop when I am pulled over for the Kazuma. A cop probably wont realize that the Kazuma is a completely different exhaust. Am I missing/forgetting about something, or could this work?

I dont think it will work but good luck anyways. I had that exhaust on my celi and it was loud as hell.

dude! you had the exact same idea as me! lol. a while ago someone posted a scanned pic of the certificate and i printed it out and put it in my car! the kazuma exhaust has the exact same tip that says TRD on both sides.

and then the clueless cop looks under the car and sees the tag that says not legal for highway use..oops..expect a beating to ensue :-)

hey, mine doesnt have that thing on it. ive seen a pic of a kazuma with something welded on it that says off road use only. mine doesnt say that anywhere. when i got it i looked all over.

The "For off road use only" badge is nothing a little bondo cant cover up...

I don't know about you guys, but around my area, some people drive around daily with unbolted exhausts. In some areas, cops do not care about the volume of exhausts, but in some areas they do. The best thing to do is consult with other people in the area who have aftermarket exhausts.
