God I'm so disgusted with these tires. THEY SUCK. I have to say they are hands down the noisiest tires I've ever owned. The noise is so bad they mute my TRD exhaust quite a bit. The noise they make stands out OVER the exhaust noise... bad :(
I just got these things new on my volks, and am so disgusted with them im gonna bounce them with less than 200 miles on them. Handling seems bad too, they feel like theyre all over the road as opposed to the stock tires. actually it feels like youre driving on glass, they seem to kinda slide around on the road with every rotation, while the stocks always felt like they were solidly planted.
.
Oh ya, these were their supposedly "top of the line" k 104's.
That being said, I do have a few questions for you tire/wheel experts out there.
1. Is it normal for 18"s to kinda wanna pull the car in whatever direction road imperfections are at? It seems like every time I hit a small bump on one side that tire jerks in that direction.
2. Do tires need a breakin period? should I wait a few hundred more miles and maybe they will quiet down and handle better?
3. what are good solid feeling tires that are at least as quiet as the stocks. which are pretty damn quiet. But they would have to be in a 225/35 or 40 series.
Bottom line, I wouldnt recommend these at all :(
had to find out the hard way I guess.
(on a side note, anyone want some 200 mile 215/35/18 tires cheap? :naughty:
