Hello, I just installed Mod Express HID's onto my girlfriend 2001 Celica. I'm having a problem with the UFO because everytime I drive, I will see the UFO shining up into peoples houses (Shines to the 2nd level of peoples houses). The light output on the floor is good but the UFO is annonying me because I dont want to get pulled over because of it.

I ordered the h7 HID housing bulb and it was very loose until I did some modification to it. The bulb is in tight and I'm pretty sure the bulb is in correctly. I adjusted the headlight but it didn't really help at all. Was wondering what the problem might be.

look inside the projectors... you'll understand why the UFOs are there...
then you should know what to do...

also, I think the UFOs are good to shine up to the highway signs... since our projectors doesn't really shine up the signs all the way up there, without the UFOs, I might not see the signs very clear (I'm near sighted).

I have HID's on my celica but my ufo doesnt shoot light into other peoples houses.

For example: I'm driving downhill and the houses to my left and right are really bright cause of my HID's. They are pretty big oval lights projecting into the houses. I know this is not normal. I'm shooting big oval size light into houses that are in the 2nd floor. They are very noticeable as im driving around houses.

^ UFOs have nothing to do with your HID. It's the projectors.
Like I said, look into the projectors and you should understand right away and how to get rid of the UFOs.

I'll take out the whole headlight tomorrow to tape the UFO i guess. Just weird because I don't have the same problem with my car. Just thought it could've been something else. Another question... Do I have to take out the whole headlight to cover up the UFO's? If not what should I use?

the holes that u have to cover is like about 3mm sq. And with the narrow space behind our headlights, I doubt you could do anything. You gotta remove the whole headlight sets and work on them. Shouldn't take more than 30 min =/

As for your car, either you don't have OEM headlights, or the previous owner taped it up =/ Just my guess.

I'll take out my girlfriend headlight tomorrow to play around with it. Thanks for the help.

My car does have UFO's but they are not as noticeable as my girlfriend.

if you are going to tape up the ufo hole, use aluminum tape. not masking tape or duct tape. the area will be hot and you do not want anything to catch fire in there. you shouldn't really have to cover up the holes if they are installed correctly.

did your hid bulb come with a spacer in the back similar to the connector on the stock bulb? I think some kits do and some kits don't. if you have it properly installed, you should barely see the ufo. the holes in the projector are there to light up reflective street signs from far away.

my hid kit looked like this
