I am looking to boost my 1zz(or 2zz swap, depends) in the next few months. my problem is finding a shop locally the is qualified and trustworthy enough to take it to. I am in a new area and the research i have done for a shop has not helped me out at all.I am near Little Rock, Arkansas. If someone knows a shop or has some other info that could help out i would appreciate it.
p.s.
my friends are telling me to sell the Celica and get a faster car thats stock but i can not part with my baby, nor do i have the money for new car payments

why dont you just try and do it yourself. i know it sounds intimidating but it really isnt. get the stuff you need and drop in a 2ZZ

well to be honest your friends are right. pick up a used 04-05 sti or evo 9 slap on a few bolt ons with a tune and be done with it.
It's very very difficult to find a trustworthy shop, that will do quality work, in a reasonable timeframe in the tuner world. If you do go through a shop expect to be without a car at a minimum of 2 months and up to 6 months or more.
If you still insist on spicing up your celica then its best to:
#1 have a beater to drive while your car is down
#2 learn to do it yourself.

very well said, in the tuner world. thats how you learn and build experience. working on your own. Thats why you love her (car). Money and time spent. Baby her and she'll do the same to you. woooo! or zoom! or nothing at all. heeh Good Luck
