Okay so Greddy won't give us what we want? Thats okay, Im gonna say it again, other companies are waiting for the opportunity to jump on the Celica. They are just an email, or phonecall away. This is for true enthusiasts who want something done about what "seems" to be a lack of interest in the Celica. Truth be told, they just haven't had the chance to speak with any of us and haven't had a chance to take a look at the car. And I know some of you guys who spent thier efforts writing hate mail to Greddy can have somthing positive to these other companies. So please if you want something, please ask, me, Keyshawn, and some of the rest of us can't do this all by ourselves.
Also this is just a short list of companies that make components for tricking out the engine. Lets try to include other companies that can do suspension systems and such.

Hell, yeah Unity! Big ups to you for trying to make a positive change for our aftermarket. I hope it's CLEAR to everyone now that to get what we want, we can't just "wait and be patient" like the Honda guys.
We have to be aggressive and tell these companies what we want in an intelligent, reasonable way ( no whining or angry tirades to them, save that stuff for the messageboard).
For those that are happy with our ALL SHOW, NO GO aftermarket right now, there's no need to do anything. You already have everything you want. For those who are looking for something more as far as performance, don't merely use your energy to vent and complain here on the messageboard. Call/email and help make something happen for us.

I've emailed Crower offering my engine head as the test bed for the head package.
Toda - forget about them, they've been promising a lightened flywheel, that's all, since day one and still nothing.
Skunk 2 - more geared towards Honda, don't wanna talk with them (bad experience previously)
Hytech - I'm actually planning on getting a custom header from them, but I'll email them...
AEM - cam gears are too hard to work with in this engine, + I think LarryD said the cam timing has to be spot on or the engine won't start....
I'll email the rest as well but it seems they are willing but more like they need a test engine for that as well...I'm not sure if I wanna take the block outta the car....
Next with all these INTERNAL engine mods going on we need a new ECU. I've tried emailing Apex'i Japan about the Power FC but I haven't heard anything and I have tried after the thrid email. Maybe we need to contact EL Prototypes again?

Drew,
I emailed Jackson Racing today. They said that they are not going to develop a s/c for us because TRD keeps telling them that they are going to develop one. This is strange, because whenever I call TRD, they say they have NO PLANS to make an s/c for the Celica. Could TRD be blocking other companies' efforts to make aftermarket performance products for us?

Heres a Response from TODA:
Thanks for your e-mail. We receive several e-mails each day inquiring about
2ZZ parts. TODA Japan is currently in the research & development phase of
developing products for the 2ZZ. FYI TODA develops all their performance
parts based on their race engine programs. For example the Honda B16A/B18C
parts are offered because TODA supplies complete race motors based on these
engines to teams in Formula 4, N1, N+, etc. The parts develop for these
racing programs lead to performance parts offered to consumers. The problem
with the 2ZZ is that it's not widely used in professional motorsports yet.
The venerable Toyota 4AG and 3SG still dominate the professional motorsports
field in Japan. Just some additional info; TODA doesn't offer any parts for
the Prelude VTEC either, and that's a very popular engine here in the
states, but since they don't have a race engine based on that application,
no parts were developed.
The latest info from Japan suggests that 2ZZ parts won't be available until
mid 2002. We are forwarding all of the e-mail inquiries to Japan to let
them know about the demand and interest here in the U.S. and Canada.

As for SKUNK2, they already made springs and prototype coilovers and 2 kinds of exhaust. My friend (aka Trippin on NCO) had his car dynoed there with his GReddy Vs. Skunk2 Vs. Stock. They're also making a FULL CAT BACK to compete against the Kazuma exhaust. I'm planning to give them my intake manifold to work with and hopefully put something into production.
For Crower, I'm willing to send my cams. But what happened to that thread?

Great job Keyshawn.
I'm tired of people posting on this board saying how crappy it is that Honda is getting more aftermarket than us. If you want something done, take a little time out of your life and just email some companies. It really isn't that hard. The time you spend ranting on the board can be used to do something positive instead.

hey you guys know that HKS is releasing a turbo right? i mean you guys haven't forgotten about them right? and don't forget TRD's internals that will be released too that will lower the compression making it easier to run a turbo and with more boost. TRD's new parts are going to be a big key in modifying our cars.
So don't get your hopes down just because Greddy wants to be assholes, by the way i thought i heard they were making a header for our car... guess not, sucks for them. I guess they dont' realize the huge aftermarket WANT within the Celica community right now.
Anyway, i know its taking awhile for company's to come out with stuff... but lets not lose hope.. its better the company's take their time on our parts, cause that just means they spent more time trying to make it RIGHT and put out the most power it can, plus that means they've tested the reliability more.
I trust parts more that have had more time put into them. I've said it on here before but i'll say it again. I talked to an HKS representative back in like April at a car show, he told me that HKS already made a turbo for the Celica but that they were taking their time testing it and making sure it was reliable. They just werent' ready to market it because they weren't see the big demand for aftermarket parts and they want to make sure they are going to make back at least what they put into it. Now they are supposed to be releasing the turbo early next year... and i'm going to trust it because they've put so much time into to make it right.
Let's just keep giong out there and representing, lets keep showing the aftermarket company's that we WANT more parts, and overall lets just keep showing our pride in the Celica. Who gives a crap what Honda/Acura is doing... every body and their mother has a Civic or Integra and pretty soon it will be the same with the RSX... i have yet to see a Type S on the road and all the RSX's i have seen have been driven by a girl or older person and i can gaurantee they didn't buy it for performance or aftermarket. Its still a new car... but i've never seen as much pride in a car as i have seen from the Celica community. One thing Toyota should be proud of is that they have a very strong and very proud and large group of fans that stick by them.
keep up the good work guys.. and just keep representing... in the end all our work will have been worth it.

The problem with the Celica community is that everyone wants products, but people aren't willing to risk buying them or even letting a company use their car to test them. That is just idiotic.
Not only that, every time a new product comes out and a company needs a certain amount of people to buy it, hundreds say they want one, sign up for it, and then flake out.
