So lately, im getting mad at my current setup.

So i went to radioshack and FINALLY found a 3.5mm jack to put somewhere. Thing is...idk where to put it.
Its either A: on my custom switch panel.

pics! for shts and giggles lol... im thinking about going through the faceplate on my oem radio like you did with your aftermarket one. shoot me some details on that if ya dont mind. ive got the grom audio unit for my car concealed in the cubby, which is cool, except i can no longer use it to store stuff.

Parts i used:
3.5mm Jack (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103452)
Belkin RCA - 3.5mm Jack (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10745575)
Like 10$ in parts.

Okay soooooo

Cut the 3.55 male jack off your Belkin Cable. (You can eliminate about 3-4 feet of wire depending on where your mounting it).
Strip your wire and then seperate the wires inside of it...you get somewhat to this.

You get a red wire, a silver wire, and a copper wires on the outside.
Cut off the Silver foil around the red and white wires.

Now time for soldering. Sorry the pictures suck. Had bad time with light.
I made the diagram with paint. I didnt have any pictures of mine when i got done soldering. sooo yea.

Basically, going from top to bottom (top = 1 by itself) it goes
Bronze (top)
Red (Middle)
White (Bottom)

Solder those in, and make sure 100% they are in there good. You dont want to have to redo this in the future. Now take it to a stero, or to your car's HU and test this bad boy out. Make sure it sounds PERFECT. And also take a multimeter and use the short detector to make sure everything is perfect.

Next step drill out a place where you want it to be at...then hot glue it in. I put mine on my aftermarket din. It required some dremnel to make it go in there perfect, but im satisfied :wiggle:.
