Does any body here have strobe lights installed in their headlights??? I wanted to buy a pair untill the salesman told me in order to install the strobes I'm going to have to drill holes into the headlights.
I was wondering if there are any other ways to install those suckers?

i wont get them because u will have to drill to mount them.. they are very illegal... like even more than undercar neons.... i mean u have those i will guarantee you will get a ticket.... everytime you turn them on.. i had a friend once who got arrested cauz they said he was trying to impersonate a police officer.... im putting strobes under my seats... or even under ur car is better than in ur headlights

So you're saying even though your buddies car was parked, he got arrested for having strobe lights on his car and the lights being on? Are your cops Nazi's or something? I know mine are.

the thing is if u drive up to someone behind them with ur strobes.. they see the flashing strobes they think ur a cop and might pull over... like some federal cars dont have blue/red lights they just got strobes in the headlights.. honestly its not worth putting them in besides u gotta drill to mount them

Well, that's just plain dumb to drive with them on. Wire 'em up to a switch or something.

Of course you dont drive with them on, thats just asking for trouble. But there should be no problem if youre parked. Here I can drive with neons on, but driving with strobes on is like one of those common sense things. You just dont do it. But yes you have to drill holes. I did it and they look great. It's one of those nice things to add for shows and stuff.

tommy, did you get Street glow strobes? Police Strobes? How many lights did you install? I was considering 4 - 6.

someone here has them and didn't have to drill. They just stuffed them in with the parking lights located in the housing.

why not mount strobes under ur car... that would have a nice effect with undercar neons...

with the headlights you have to watchout... if the bulb housings arent sealed tightly to to the headlight assembly.. moisture is gonna get in... and then ur headlight assembly is going to get all foggy which will make it look fugly

as mentioned previously...strobes are perfect for a show mod, however, just driving around w/ them on is not only corny, but just real dumb ;)

I actually threw a set of blue LED's in my CF altezza tail's reverse light housing(pshew, talk about a tounge twister)....hooked them up to a switch. Not only looks GREAT, but pisses people off very nicely when I flash them off.

I have strobes in my headlights and didn't have to drill holes. We used the holes for the parking lights and also with the turn signals.

If you smush the strobes in with your other headlights it breaks the seal and you could end up with water spots or moisture in ur headlights which SUCKS. I threw some in my reverse lights (the white part of the tails lights) and ran the wire to the front with a switch. No drilling, not even tape or glue. It's a nice way to give a big :fawk: to Miami drivers that like to get on your ass, and unless you just leave em on I think you'd have a good explanation for any cop that'd pull you over.

They're highly illegal and everyone has them. It's gotten to the point where not having them is being different.
