um yeah. even sports m owners had a difficult time coming across replacement sports m parts. these are authentic modellista parts from japan, brand new. includes a catalog too, I think but I cant confirm it yet...

Not to you, definitely, but there are guys on here (including me) that paid $2000+ for a set of Modellista Hella Headlamps (retailed $4k). Its a JDM thing, and limited quantity thing...

If I can get enough request to "part it out", I would consider it, but then youre talking like $160 for just the bumper insert. This is a set price for the whole set. Thank you.

all the sports M badges i've ever seen were actual metal emblems and not a flat sticker.

i could see the set going for 200 bucks. i don't see why not. personally i would never pay 200 bucks for something i could have fun with by making my own little design.

but if people want it bad enough then 200 bucks is fair.

Those are decals that go behind the door above the side skirt. If they are genuinethe decals will have part numbers on them. If not whose to say someone didnt make copies at a local graphic shop. I had a image coverted to a vector and reworked the graphic. They look exactly like the sports M. The actual rear emblem is plastic btw, not metal.

I wont know about the part numbers being on the stickers until I receive them from Japan, but yes. The metal looking plastic deal sits on the trunk while the decals go on the skirts and the badge sits in the bumper.

and Im not even sure toyota japan ever made these. the designs are co-owned by modellista and trd. Hence why most people had a hard time finding these, they never showed up with any part numbers at any of the dealers. Modellista is a design firm that does private designs for a lot of the toyotas.

They didnt. Toyota gave them part numbers. If somone 7-9 years ago got in an accident how would they order parts to replace it? They same way anyone would order parts through a dealer, by part number.

You see, thats what I would think... but then I got to thinking, if ordering these were so easy, via part number, why dont we have any everywhere, and why do even sport m owners have such a hard time getting them?

You must provide a vin to prove that the car is sports M before your order is processed

The vin is on the car. There is a metal plate that would say X of 1200 and the vin ect.

It is alittle bit harder than just using a friends vin.

I dont know, I havent tried it yet.... and yes, I am aware of where the VIN is. Secondly, of all the parts he got me, I havent used it yet. This one in particular was ordered from Japan with some other parts, and sent along. Usually if I want something, I just ask it of him, and he passes it along.

Anyways that grill and sports M front emblem is well worth 200bux. The rear emblem cost 185

and it sold for $250, off forum. I actually stumbled on it. I was negotiating with a previous japanese owner for his Superstrut suspension, and he had it "laying around". Sold it to some Euro collector.
