Change tires at 60k?

I've got 45k miles on my Dunlop tires that came with my 00'celica GT. Based on tread depth and wear indicatiors, i could see them lasting till 60k. I did autocross with them twice but seemed to wear the sidewall and outer tread more than the middle. Is 60k normal life for stock tires?

For strictly highway driving and hard rubber, 60k miles is still good. Look for soft, sticky rubber and hard city driving to make tires wear out at around 25k miles.

lucky you...my GTS came with yoko's and they were baloney skins at 30K
