I bought these led bulbs from ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320425020302&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

for my rear turn signals and they bright up just how i want them but for some reason they start blinking rapidly when they are on, if i have the emergency lights on they both blink normally (front and rear) but when i turn one on at a time both the front and the rear blink real fast...anyone know why? the bulbs seem fine.

Instead of blinking fast, would it be a "flickering". I made my own leds for the license plate and this happened. Must have been a short somewhere...or not a good connection.

They could be lower resistance bulbs than stock, which would make them blink faster (I believe).

so what would be the best option?

You could head to a radio shack or something and get a resistor and wire it in. I believe you'd have to get 2, one for each side.

But again I'm not 100% sure.

Load resistors or change to a solid state flasher.

the car thinks less electricity is going to the bulbs because they are lower power i belive, so it sends extra charge to the LED thats why they blink faster. but im no professional so don't quote me on that.

Load resistors or change to a solid state flasher.

Is there any alternative p'n'p flashers since the original is quite unique? At least I wasn't able to find so I solved that same problem by installing 6.8ohm 20W power resistors (8ohm should work as fine) in paraller with the rear marker.

I believe the Grote products are available in Europe, Paul-i.

Had to have a better glimpse at the case and yes, yet another difference between US and EUR Celicas:

Flasher assy, turn signal:
US: 81980-32010, three terminals
EUR: 81980-50030, eight terminals
