Well about 6000 miles ago i got my wifes tranny flushed at fred haas toyota(the celica) in texas. (you can see where this is going).
Well today i was following her home from work, and as soon as we got on the ramp to go from 610-59 north her car started blowing blue smoke. I quickly caught up to her to tell her to pull over her car was smoking. She didnt notice anything wrong.
SO we pull over and i jack up her car after all the fluid has fell out, and remove her drivers side tire to take a look. All i could tell was that the something was wrong with the tranny(i could see the bottom of it drenched in oil).
We called the dealer(tejas much much better) and they sent a wrecker. Once the car got to the dealer after about waiting 30 minutes they put it up onthe jack and discover that the oil drain plug is MISSING. NOw how the hell does that happen unless someone forgot to tighten it.
So now we have to wait for the shop foremen tomorrow to say if we are getting a new tranny or if the tranny is ok.
So now the celica is in the shop AGAIN, damn thing has been in the shop for 48 days so far and climbing. The whole thing will be covered under warrenty, which is good and it should be.
So all in all this night has sucked. Well at least on the bright side my wifes celica will have a new tranny.
IM so glad i was following her because if i wasnt her tranny wouldve ceazed on 59 and that wouldve been disasteris(sp?)
p.s. we are contacting TOA and are going to try to get a new clutch and a rental car for all the days its in the shop.
