NO...there is a rev limiter on all years its just that the 2002 rev limiter is set alot lower then the previous years

The rev limiter for the GT has been the same for '00-'03.

The GT-S is another story. From '00 to mid '01, the limiter was at 8400. Then in the middle of the '01 production year (around April), the limiter was lowered to 7800 (which is the indicated redline from '00-'02), and continued into the '02 year. Wider shift gates were also installed in 6-speed GT-S's. The limiter will be going back up to 8400 for '03.

What is the rev limiter set at for the 02 GT?

I believe it's about 7000. There haven't been any changes in the GT yet.
