Hey fellas... I have a few questions that might seem like dumb questions but oh well. :)

First of all, somehow, I got gum on my car. It was spread out and dirty so it looked like bird sh*t -- I decided not to touch it and instead take it to a car wash. After I got out to check for the "bird sh*t", it was still there and I realized it was gum. What can I do to get rid of it?

Also, I got bored so I bought cheap little blue lights for my windshield washers. They were pretty easy to put in but they don't come up high enough -- the hood is in the way. Aside from the obvious buying of washers to raise them, what can I do?

Finally, I have an Injen CAI. How often should I change/clean the air filter? It's been a good 10 months and I can tell it's filthy but I've been way too lazy. I'm also curious how much better it will be when I do clean or change it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Try goo-gone to get the gum off.

2. The washer nozzles in the celi were designed to be lower than the hood. If you really want to raise them, then I guess washers would work, but don't think you really need to. They are still visible.

3. Unless you're driving through lots of mud, the filter should not need any maintenance till 30K miles. At that point you should get a K&N filter recharger kit.

You can also try a hair dryer to heat up the gum so it will be soft.

1. Yup, goo-gone. Thats the stuff.
2. IMHO, light-up washer nozzels are rice, bigtime.
3. I just cleaned my K&N filter, I have had it for about 4-6 months, and it was well worth the effort.
