I'm looking for some new wheels for my 99 4Runner (I also have 2K GT-S in case you're wondering why I'm here). Anyway, I can't find much that I like that's not too plain and might as well be stock vs. the rest that are over-the-top, crazy designs. It's like there's no middle ground right now with SUV rims.

So, I finally found some I like: JAOS Super Zigens, 18 x 8 (www.joasusa.com).

Guess what? They're $835 PER RIM!

Man, that's steep. I can't believe it. They're forged and multipiece design but good gosh that's a ton of dough just for rims.

Anybody have any suggestions? I bought a set of TSW Trackers already that I'm trying to sell because I want to go with 18s instead of 17s.

Thanks.

Mike

man, i don't know what to say. i've got a 97 limited 4runner, and i have put all my effort and money into this celica. i did glance through tirerack one time for fun on my 4runner, and i didn't find anything that i liked. if you haven't, they're one of the best places. also, discounttire.com and tires.com work.

yeah, i know. discount tire doesn't have any 18s that fit. and tirerack has 5. of those, 2 of them are the same wheel in different finishes so it's really only 4. i do like the MODAs that fit (18 x 8) but not quite enough to cough up the big cash yet.

thanks for the ideas, though. did you check out the JOAS rims? they'd fit your limited, obviously. also, the HREs are nice but they're big dollar, too.

ain't life a b. man, just think if i had real problems. :D
