yeah i was gonna say.. some of them were a lil grany but thats because of the 800 iso... how come sutch a high setting? 400 in normal light with a decent flash should work and you would get a richer and less grany shot...

but overall they look nice, thats a good wideangle shot of the dress... i film wedding myself, how was ur experience?

Yea a 2.5 lcd is small. the food well its ok haha mostly filipino food.

go cannon and get their L series lenses =] cant beat that... and if u have an ok body deff go for a better lens... great body, crap lens = crap photos... ok body + excellent lens = good photos... best body + best lens = rich person

bad on the high iso though. you should've noticed after a couple shots. but then again it happens. i had a friend that shot a professional wedding and got paid but shot everything at like 2000 iso. luckily he was only the 2nd shooter and not first.

nikon d200. why i was shooting at 800 is because i was kinda late for the wedding lol! wasnt able to change my settings. but i didnt notice the noise on my 2.5 lcd. but as long as it came out good im happy =)

there is always time to change the iso. just gotta hold down a button and move the dial. just make sure next time you are shooting on the right settings.

luckily some shots are still pretty decent and the noise isn't TOO bad.

work on your lighting a little bit more. the lighting on the bride in the last picture is a bit harsh in some places. the composure of it as well is kind of weird to me. i don't think it's a very good angle but then again that's just me.

What wattage lights were you using, or was it a flash?

The way I see it, it depends on the mood you're going for.. But!!!!!! with what you did, you needed to back up the lights or bounce them off the ceiling, a wall or a bounceboard because they were way too close! I know this because you lost all detail in parts of her body. You should never EVER lose detail in blacks or whites, especially whites. Look at her white dress she has on, this is a prime example of how bad it is.

What you need to learn how to do is cast a nice ratio of shadow over her body and face. Because you're going for the hot, non-dramatic look a 2:1 contrast ratio would be needed. This means you use a key and a fill light (usually the fill is defused) to create a soft shadow edge on her.

I don't know if that makes sense or not, to me it does because I'm a film student and cinematography comes pretty naturally to me.

Next time try (instead of a hair light), to use a rim light. That's a light placed directly behind her to give her a nice glow on the shoulders and head that lifts her form the background.

The composition is great, but really watch the shadows of her arm that casts on herself. Lighting should take hours to get right. Maybe it's the editing that makes it so damn bright because I've noticed that with some of your other pictures. Still, work on that contrast ratio on her face.

I like the pic in the garage of the lexus. You need to fix the lighting on the VW outside. It's tough also since it's a black car. Good job though.
