Finally...99 up V6 in the mid 12's.

stock 4.2 block, stock headers, stock gt mufflers, 12 psi on a nonintercooled supercharger.. stock suspension, full weight..sheesh..list goes on.

4.2 is out of the f-150 trucks..its a stroked 3.8 liter with shorter rods and a slightly better cam than what the 3.8's come with. about a 20hp/25ft lbs difference between the two stock blocks.

edit: and oh yeah..powerdyne is the biggest pos blower ever(only worth 40% gains)..lol

dif bottom end...heads, etc are identical with the 3.8

the 3.8 would have run within 2 tenths of that time.

Yeah.

But I've always also wanted the throaty Ford sb V8 sound and feel.

I like the 99 up styling better than the 96-98 styling.
96-98 cobra will have better motor and better brakes.
96-98 will also have 17 inch wheels standard.
V6 gets better gas mpg, and I know the car inside and out.
Insurance is a toss-up..
mid 12's with gear, and bolt on's in the Cobra
mid 12's with a supercharger at 11-12psi in the v6
V6 needs suspension goodies so i can do better at autox, plus 17's.
Cobra has better stereo, seats.
V6 has more rarity of speed
Cobra gets respect
V6 gets sleeper status, if that.
V6 has a Windsor engine, very very easy to rip apart and rebuild.
Cobra has dohc, 4 cams, and huge ass heads. needs to have the motor taken out to change cams..

*shrugs*

all goes through my head daily over what to do with the 3K I've saved up.
