Dilemna.. what to do what to do..

I know this is ultimately my decision to make but I just can't figure out what to choose.

I've got a brand new WW 4 pc kit and V-line spoiler sitting at home that I was gonna take in to get painted in a week. Then I found out someone locally sold his Celica (same colour as mine) and has a TRD mechanical kit for sale. This consists of the front bumper (not the lip like the WW) and the side skirts and the rear valance. He has an aluminum GT wing also for sale.

Basically what I paid for the WW kit and will have to pay to have it painted, I could have this TRD for already painted. I guess the reason I'm having a hard time deciding is because I also just purchase Grillcraft white upper and lower grilles that only work in the stock bumper. I am going with a whole blue and white theme on my car.

The TRD would be better in some ways whereas the WW would be better in other ways. For example almost everyone and there mother has the WW kit around here now. The TRD action package is not available in Canada so its not very common. We do have something similar called the 'Panasonic Edition Celica' which is the same front bumper as the Action Package but that is only available in red.

The WW would be better because I could keep my Grillcraft grilles and just add the lip. But I guess the WW lip leaves gaps on the bumper and I will take a chance on paint match, whereas this guy's TRD kit is apparently perfect match to the OEM paint. I am going to go take a look at the kit on Friday.

What to do?

Go with the TRD kit and sell yer unpainted WWest kit. The mechanical bumper comes will a grill. You can always paint it white if you'd like.

Also I was thinking on picking up his aluminum GT wing as well and painting the side blue to match the car. It is not a huge wing and he is selling it decently cheap. I would want to sell my WW kit and spoiler all together anyways.. I don't like mix and matching kits, if anything else I'd get the TRD style Revtec spoiler.

If he throws in those bad ass TRD fog lights. Defiently get it. Defiently get the TRD sides skirts over the WW ones too.

Hmm..

My WW Type W kit is urethane too. :D To be honest, I took it to the dealer one day and did a side by side comparison with a Celica on the parking lot.

Looks exactly the same, except the other celica had this black weather sealant on the kit, to keep the water out. I like the idea, but it looked really icky. I'd have to get mine matched with the paint or something.

TRD is the better kit, so if I were you I'd go with it but like you said its your choice!

Well unfortunately those aren't real TRD fogs.....they are lights that look just like them. How much does a real set of TRD fogs sell for anyways?

Also do you guys that have this bumper also keep your GT-S OEM fogs installed? Or do you sell those and just put the grilles up front? I am trying to make a decision if I should sell the stock fogs or not.

go with the machanical bumper...u will know why later on my son...just take it from somebody that used to have a ww kit...is not bad at all, quality is great...so whats the problems with it u might ask...well simple...everybody and their mother have that kit....go with the trd one....

it should be urethan if it is original.....


ArchangelX:he is talking about the full bumper, the trd one.....i think is called the mechanical one...i cant remeber....anyhow brah if i was u....i would go trd all the way....and sell those grills...etc..they are nice and all...but the trd bumper is better
