i think most aftermarket lips go on top of the oem lip for extra support. i've read some stories of how lips tear off on the road and get all scratched up. maybe you can "ghetto" repair the oem lip and put an aftermarket lip on top of that for support.

Anyone repair an OEM lip?

My TRD lower spoiler has a crack (split) in it around the center of it's with.

Fortunately the slit is under the car where you really cant see it.

Unfortunatly, I can see this getting worse and perhaps ruining my bumper.

Since it's UNDER, I was thinking of attching a metal bracket to close it up and then "Poxy" it permanent from the INSIDE of the lip. NOt sure what materials work best, but I was waiting for my reworking of the front bumper to to this. (I have many other nicks and scratches to remove and then repaint the front bumper)

that metal bracket/epoxy thing is a common diy.. it shouldn't look too bad if you know what you're doing.

i think your only options are fix it, replace it with brand new, or drive it as is.

well if your interested i have a stock 00 bumper. i can check the condition of the lip, the bumper itself is useless. all the bolt holes are broken.. if you want i can look into shipping it and just charge for that? :shrugs: idk if the 00 and the 04 are the same though
