roof scoop

has any one put a hood scoop on their roof because i saw it in a pic and it looked cool. i was just wondering how much it cost and how whould u get it done. thanx for your help and time

I haven't ever seen one. I think the problem is that most celis have sunroofs, and people don't want to give up a functional sunroof, for a non-functional roof scoop.

It looks molded to the roof of the car. I have no idea how much it would cost to do, I would suggest printing this picture out and taking it to a bodyshop and asking them. It's probably somewhat spendy because it looks like it is molded to the roof, and the whole roof would have to be repainted, but I don't think that it would be too bad. I'll bet that the scoop is just a cheap universal, look for a universal scoop that looks like the shape you want for a price on the scoop itself.

Just an idea, it looks like it is pretty close to the size and shape of the scoop on the hood of the car. You could probably buy a stock Celica hood scoop for really cheap from a Celica owner who has replaced theirs with a C-One style scoop and use that for the body shop to work with.

Actually, that looks just like a raised hood scoop mounted to the roof.

You can order the roof scoop from importfan.com and then bring it to a shop and they will fiberglass it on. I was gonna do this in the future. My friend was telling me about it.

Jeeze, I must be retarted because I couldn't find anything at all on that website, let alone the hood scoop. I was going clicky clicky on the screen, but nothing would take me anywhere, lol!

Anyway, here is another site that has the scoop that you could use. It is MB autosport, they sell the scoop for $99, just scroll down the page in the link a little. If you take one of thoes scoops to a body shop, they could quote you a price to have it molded to your roof and painted to match your car.
