View Full Version : Hotchkis Front Sway Bar Installation Help.
Hey Guys,
Changing out my stock front sway bar to the hotchkis sway bar, after a few hours taking some bolts and what not out, i couldn't remove the bar, i called a freind and he said that i'll need to drop the sub-frame???
is there any other Easier way of doing so?

unfortunately, the front sway bar is tucked way in there... i've never done it. but it appears that way.. it will take a lot of work. to unbolt the subframe, you might have to undo the struts and rear motor mount if it is attached there.

You have to unbolt the steering rack and then lower the subframe. There is no other way. It is not the hard though. You just need to use a hydraulic jack and lower it like 1 foot or less to get to the sway bar bolts. It is tight but that is how I done it. It took Jay0022 and I around 2-3 hours but that was with us taking our time.

It was not that bad to do.... like 03GTSTRD said we took our sweet time and got it done 2-3 hr.:wiggle:

That would definitely be a good idea. This is not a project for a newbie.
