pfft why would you go the easy rout and save your self a head ache by buying something more fun that would go just as fast if not more then a celica with a turbo kit thats just silly :D

I'm planning on getting one by next year. But maybe a 250cc only since work doesn't require getting on the high way.

plastics are too expensive to paint over unless youve dumped the bike... maybe some race fairings would be good to swap out if he REALLY wanted to change the color, which i dont think he minds.

Figured i'd get more bang for my buck going for a new vehicle rather than an update :gap:

Do it! Now that I have it, i wish i got it earlier!!

it's more like the fourth and fifth pics. first 3 came out a bit too bright and makes it look lime-y.

Indeed, and everyone still thinks it's a 636 because many do not know they even made a 599 that year.

I was gonna paint it black and pearl white, but once I saw it I fell in love and i'm not changing them unless it gets dumped!

the only people that are having negative comments are people too scared to own a bike. dont worry about them they wish they had the balls

You guys have no idea . .. .
the problem isn't the rider. The rider can be the best, most safe, most responsible rider on the planet. The problem is the teenage girl in her mother's H2 on her cell phone. She can't hear him, she can't see him, and when she merges she doesn't even know he's there.

Nice Ninja man. I got a Ninja too (a 500 :( )
If this is your first bike, take the MSF class and take it slowwww. Get all your saftey gear from head to toe. Riding is dangerous I'm sure you know. Dont let people like marc scare you. Been riding for 2 years. Still alive! havn't even had that many cars. Must people are scared to death of bikes and stay far away.

Usually most people stay away because of the ridiculously high insurance costs and limited utility.

haha, nice man. too bad your in florida :gap: I got this one with only 5,000 miles on it, it was completely unmolested, and i picked it up for 4. so I definatly made out on that :wiggle: but hey, with everyone hating the economy it's a buyer's market! I couldn't resist

i have a loud exhaust so people notice me.
MYTH! you could have open headers and neon signs... people just dont see bikes. i had dual HIDs on my r6 with a nice loud hindle exhaust, didnt prevent anyone from pulling out in front of me or cutting me off. ive got a fiance to consider as well as a future, which is why i sold mine. if i get back into it, its going to be an all track bike, WAY less risk there.
to the op, just wear as much gear as you can. keep your eyes peeled, and good luck. there are a LOT of terrible drivers out there. ride within your limits and respect the bike, and that'll eliminate part of the battle.

Full coverage depends on your deductible. On a 500 dollar deductible I pay 70 a month (including theft) with one accident (my fault) for a 2009 Ford Fusion that the insurance company values at 17,000.
So I consider 900 dollars a year for something that cost 5,000 to be a waste of money. You are paying 20 percent of the cost of the bike per year just in insurance.

Does that come with TRAINING WHEELS? :gap:
Nice bike, I'd kill myself on one so I stay away.
I thought of a Ninja 250 to 600, but held off. Now gas is back down, so I don't feel the urge as strong.
Love the color, easier to be seen as well.

HAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHA!!! Come here and pay that every MONTH. You guys have it WAY to easy with bike insurance. I would have had a GSX750-R except the insurance would have killed me. And that's with Liability only!
Nice bike, my favorite colour too! Now polish that frame!!

We do. Bike is a dangerous toy, but you have to accept the risk. Just this week I was very close to an accident twice. Driving car is also dangerous.
You know that same teenage girl in mother's H2 can kill pedestrian. Wait, wat? Walking is dangerous! :)

When I lived in DC, the average was 2-3 bikers per weekend would die.
That was far far far far more than the average car driver or pedestrian.

Yum, I love bikes!!
Especially those super mega twin vtec knarly crazy ones that go "vvooo-VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM" when something vtec-y kicks in all the up to 13,000rpm (or however high it goes :gap: )
I love it when the local bikers do crazy wheelies at 100mph near my house....mmm...vtec bikes rule!!
(disclaimer: i don't know anything about bike - i'm just talking about those loud fast ones, which entranced seems to have)

nice bike. the problem i think with bike accidents besides cars cutting you off is the relatively easyness riding a bike becomes. at first everything is slow and you a very careful with everything but quickly you get the grasp of it, speeds go up, confidence goes up and cockiness happens. thats usually when bad things will happen. so always stay humble on your bike and give it the respect it deserves. and dont be one of these dudes with shorts on riding in the summer.good luck and have fun with it bro.

I suppose you have statistics on motorcycle homicides compared to pedestrian homicides? If you do I really like to see how the 2 measure up.
Otherwise I am going to say there are way more motorcycle homicides compared to pedestrian ones.
