Aftermarket alarm system

My car did not came with stock alarm. Have any of you installed alarms yourself?
How hard is it? It would be nice to have remote start. Since it's manual, how would you bypass clutch on remote start?

Any particular car alarm system you can suggest?

Since it's manual, how would you bypass clutch on remote start? Hard wire or safer via a relay only in Remote Start.
