This will be my first time going to court and I need some advice on what to do to take the driving class in order to take it off my record.

Well here the deal, I got caught by a state trooper at night going 86mph on a 60 speed zone. I live in New Orleans but going to school at Baton Rouge(where I got caught at). I think that's why the trooper didn't take away my license because my license show I live at New Orleans.

Anyways, I have to go to court and have no ideas or clue what to do to get myself out of the record. I know there alot of people have gone to court on here. So post me some of your experience and what to do in the situation.

Thanks in advance.

Well here in Cali, you usually have the option to take driving school (once every 16 months, I think) through the mail. When you have to pay your fine, they tell you to pay the extra $ for school and then you choose the school and then you go for the day and that's it.

Another thing that works, is setting a court date to contest the ticket, then cancelling and rescheduling it. You do that like two or three times, and if you're lucky, the officer that wrote you the ticket won't show and you win.

I dunno how they do it in your state, but good luck.

In GA you can plead no contest. You won't get points on your license, but you still pay the ticket. Might be different where your at.
