im about to put some skunk2 coilovers sleeves on some kyb gr2...the question i have is from the installation manual...it says the front strut perch has to be trimmed but not all the way and leave some material so the sleeve can sit securely...but with my research on here Im reading about people that cut the whole thing off or didnt cut it off at all...

or does this refer to only stock struts..i havent got my kybs yet to see any similarities...

so the question is, should I just trim it, cut the whole perch off, or leave the perch alone??? and if I do cut or trim it, what kind of tool should i use??

i installed tein coilovers plenty of times on hondas which was a breeze, but this seem like more of a pain since i have to cut stuff

if u pay attention to the front perch, its welded on, that bead is what they want you to leave on so the sleeve sit on it, you dont have to do but if you do just leave enough of that to hold the sleeve .................... the rear perch you just knock it off with a hammer
