I posted in here a few weeks ago about how long it took maroone toyota to fix my engine even tho it was their fault it blew up.
I have had the car back about two weeks now and last night i was driving home on I95 when i noticved it was making a wierd CLANKING sound. I let off the gas and it sounded like the teath of 2 gears not fully engaging..that metal on metal scraping sound u would get if u did that. i was thinking to myself "that does not sound good at all!", and i moved to the slow lane and was about to get off at Commercial blvd when BOOM!!! i HEARD something come loose and i heard parts flying out from under my car and it sounded like metal peaces comming out my exhaust system along with (white)smoke from the engine bay. The car immeditely died of course and i coasted to the energency lane where i poped the hood but it was too dark to tell exactly where the some was comming from other than the engine of course.
I will admit i think a single tear came from my eye when this happened. I feel the same way about my celica as all you guys do...i love it and i hate to see her in bad shape.
Anyways back to my story, o yea! i checked the oil and it was completely BONE dry...AGAIN! but this time i KNOW there was oil in it because i changed it myself just over 1 week. yes i changed it LAST SUNDAY!!! and there was nothing it it..at all....BONE dry...i have been chaning oil for along time up until the point i got this car and only reason i stopped is cause im gettin lazy but how does the engine burn up every drop of oil? there are no leaks and the oil light was not on. The temp gauge was also reading normal and up until that point i did not notice any strange sounds or vibrations. It pisses me off that toyota had my car for 3 weeks and this happens 2 weeks after i get it back. Serious stuff as someone could of been hurt ya know?..
Plus the fact they are going to have it forever just fixing THEIR MISTAKES...2x in a row...comments and questions welcome

sigh
(i miss my car)

maroone sucks.. all dealerships suck when it comes to warranty work.. just cuz whoever is workin on your car is gettin paid less than his normal wage so they really arent too hyped up about finishin up quickly.. but maroone seems to suck the biggest cock when it comes to service.. they jsut care about sales at the dealership.. take ur car to Headquarter Toyota.. theyr the best there.. Talk to Kat over in Service, shell make sure they get u in and out of there ASAP.. good luck..

Sounds like this shouldnt be warrenty work.. More like the dealership should be forking over full price to Toyota Corp. Friggin idiots. Good luck man, you'll need it!

Well For anyone that lives in the west palm area or is willing to take a trip its worth it. West Palm Beach toyota treated me with alot of respect and promptness and I look like a lil kid. and my car is dropped on 19's with a full kit and paint job and they still worked on my car no questions asked I have intake and exhaut and they even checked my valves for me because I thought it was ticking.

I'm sure you guys aren't this far south, but Lyndon at Armstrong Toyota in Homestead will do you right. He's taken care of my 2000, and even my 1990 Celica since I was 16.

Another note: never had service done at Kendall Toyota, but the guy that sold me my GT said you could never fit the GT-S 16" 5-Spokes on the GT because the GT is specifically tuned for the 15" wheels and it would totally void my warranty...of course this was when the 2000s just came out and no one had done it yet so my dad believed him :-/ punkass....
